Padel Sense

Every match tells a story.

I first learned that from a notebook.

My first coach, Jorge, kept one courtside. Every winner, every mistake, every point. He wasn’t tracking the score — he was tracking patterns.

So I started recording everything.

I bought an action camera, clamped it behind the glass, and filmed every match I played. Game after game piled up into a whole channel of footage — raw material waiting to be understood. I wanted to improve with data.

I wanted something more precise.

As a data analyst, I couldn’t let it go. What if we could measure performance, not just guess at it? So I rebuilt Jorge’s notebook inside a spreadsheet — watch a match, log every point, let the math do the rest.

We weren’t logging points anymore. We were defining a language.

I brought it to Gil and Robin — two friends just as obsessed with the game. We kept circling one question: who actually made the mistake? Out of those debates, scattered labels became a vocabulary: forced and unforced errors, clean winners and pressure-induced ones. Every point earned its context.

It worked — but a spreadsheet doesn’t scale.

Anyone serious about their game already rewatches their matches — so why not log along the way? A spreadsheet proved the idea, but logging in one is slow -- we need a way to make it seamless. Build something faster, smoother, and with analytics a sheet could never reach.

PadelSense

What began as a notebook became PadelSense— a tool that combines my love of padel and data, shaped by everyone I’ve shared a court with.

Today, every match becomes insight — detailed match analytics and a highlight reel you can rewatch point by point.

Computer Vision - Automated Logging

Let AI models log the points for you. They aren’t mature yet — especially when not every court has the cameras for it — but we’ll get there.

Player Profiles & Journey Tracking

One profile -- Not one match, your whole journey: improvement trends, evolving weaknesses, partner compatibility, opponent tendencies.

Professional Coaching Tools

We can rewatch every point and log who made the winners and mistakes. Why not let coaches and experts use the platform to communicate that analysis and feedback more effectively?
